Vintage Liancarlo for Saks Fifth Avenue Brocade & Taffeta Avant Garde Cocktail Dress Set

This rare late 1980s / early 1990s Liancarlo for Saks Fifth Avenue two-piece cocktail ensemble features a strapless dress paired with a matching jacket. The strapless cocktail dress features a sweetheart neckline, flows beautifully into a dark burgundy pleated skirt, finished with a flared hem silhouette and  a hidden zipper up the back with hook-and-eye closure. The open-front cropped bolero jacket hem and cuffs are lined in black sequins. The bodice and jacket are constructed from a heavy metallic mosaic brocade/jacquard featuring geometric circular medallions in deep crimson red , copper, black, gold, and purple. Both pieces are heavily embellished with a dark, black soutache cord and decorative loop trim. Crafted of Silk, Acetate and Cotton.
