Good question. Everything at Moda Milange comes from between the 1950s and the early 2000s. We focus on pieces that were made to last, with quality fabrics and proper construction. Not every old garment makes the cut. If it’s not something we’d personally want in our own closet, it doesn’t go on the site.
This is probably the thing people ask us about most. Vintage sizing is genuinely different from modern sizing. A size 12 from the 1960s and a size 12 from today are not the same thing at all. Every listing includes actual garment measurements, not just the tag size. Your best move is to grab a piece you already own that fits well, lay it flat, and compare those numbers to what we’ve listed.
Please check our Return Policy page for the full details. What we can tell you is that we put real effort into our measurements and condition notes precisely so you’re not guessing when you order. If you’re on the fence about fit before buying, just reach out and we’ll do our best to help you figure it out.
Each piece is one of a kind. There is no restocking it, no ordering another one in a different color. What you’re looking at is something that has survived decades, often in remarkable condition, made with materials and craftsmanship that are genuinely hard to find in new clothing today. We’ve spent over 30 years building this collection and we price pieces based on their rarity, condition, and what they’d realistically go for in the broader market for quality vintage.
We’re picky about what we stock and honest about what we find. If there’s a flaw, we note it. We’re not in the business of hiding things and dealing with unhappy customers after the fact. That said, vintage clothing will sometimes show its age in small ways. We’ll always tell you what’s there.
The collection comes from 30+ years of hunting, so it’s not like we’re restocking shelves every week. New pieces come in when we find something worth sharing. Following us on Instagram is honestly the best way to catch things as they drop, since good pieces go fast.
Absolutely, reach out through the Contact page. We’ve been doing this long enough that we might already have something in mind, or we can keep an eye out when sourcing. We like customers who know what they’re looking for.
The main thing is to go by measurements, not tag sizes. Beyond that, don’t be afraid to ask questions before you buy. We’d rather spend a few minutes answering something upfront than have you end up with a piece that doesn’t work for you. Most people who try vintage for the first time and get it right become the ones who can’t stop.
We take care of our pieces. Anything that needed attention before being listed has been handled. If something requires dry cleaning for ongoing care, we’ll note that since older garments often don’t have care labels and some fabrics really do need a specialist.
